Perhaps Port of Spain's most popular attraction, Carnival is a colourful experience. This five-day festival has many official(and unoffical)events. There are parades and plenty of calypso and steelpan. It is less commercial than Rio or New Orleans, but just as wild, if not more so. Like Mardi Gras, it is held just prior to the beginning of Lent. Enjoy the mas (masquerade)!
